National Instruments PXI-6509 PXI Digital I/O Module

The PXI-6509 (Part Number: 778858-01) Digital I/O Module by National Instruments has 96 digital I/O lines, single-ended signaling, 0 V to 5 V output voltage range, a digital input voltage range of -0.5 V to 5.5 V, and 5 V digital I/O logic levels. Each of the 96 DIO lines can be utilized as a static digital input (DI) or digital output (DO) line. Digital filtering is permitted on however many input lines are required for the user’s application. The timing interval range for these lines is from 400 ns to 200 ms. when utilizing the change detection feature, it is important to recognize that a high number of change detections can decrease the system’s performance levels. Therefore, digital filtering can be utilized to reduce the noisy input lines. The NI device is equipped with a 100-pin female 0.050 series SCSI I/O connector.

The PXI 6509 is run using the NI-DAQmx driver software which is compatible with software packages like LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, or Measurement Studio. The device hardware is configured using MAX.

The NI PXI-6509 Digital I/O Module can only be operated with shielded cables and accessories. These include an SCB-100 connector block, CB-50 connector block, and CB-50LP connector block.
