National Instruments PXI-5673 Vector Signal Generator
The National Instruments PXI-5673 is an RF Vector Signal Generator. This model can operate over a wide frequency range of 5 MHz to 6.6 GHz and offers > 100 MHz of RF bandwidth and > 10 dBm RF power. The NI PXI-5673 can generate a variety of signals when used with an appropriate software program. In this model, direct RF upconversion is used from differential baseband Q and I signals. Moreover, this Vector Signal Generator can also operate in RF List Mode to counter deterministic and fast RF configuration changes.
When supplied with a configuration list, the RF modules proceed through the elements of the list without any additional and unnecessary interaction with the host machine and driver. Another huge benefit of the National Instruments PXI-5673 is its tendency to facilitate fast waveform downloads. With this model, the user can download waveforms to the instrument’s internal memory at astonishing rates up to 800 MB/s.
This Vector Signal Generator features a flexible architecture, enabling the user to synchronize as many as four vector signal generators for the generation of phase-coherent signals. The user can also generate different waveforms such as ASK, FSK, AM, FM, QAM, etc. The stream-from-disk feature of the NI PXI-5673 allows the user to generate up to several terabytes length continuous waveforms.
This Vector Signal Generator can be operated in both open-loop and closed-loop scenarios. For the record and playback applications, the user can easily combine a NI PXI-5673 with an RF vector signal analyzer. This model is available in two variations: the base version comes with 128 MB onboard memory. A 512 MB memory version is also available.
