The PCI-6711 (Part Number: 777740-01) is an Analog Output Device from National Instruments that features 4 voltage output channels and 12 bits of resolution. When used as a controller for an individual data point in an individual channel, the device is able to define common waveforms including sine or sawtooth. The RTSI bus of the PCI-6711 has 7 trigger lines and allows seamless synchronization between up to five DAQ devices in the user’s PC. With data rates up to 1 Ms/S per channel, data transfers with the device are facilitated through the DMA, interrupts, or programmed I/O. This DAQ enables the user to connect each DAC to either the internal 10 V reference or to an external reference system of their choice.
The bus interface of the NI PCI-6711 analog output device is a CompactPCI master and slave interface. The power available at the I/O connector of the module, at 1 A, is +4.65 to +5.25 VDC. In general, the PCI-6711 has a typical power requirement of 0.80 A with a maximum of 1.0 A. The device features a 68-pin male SCSI-II I/O connector type. Without connectors, it measures 17.5 × 10.7 cm (6.87 × 4.2 in.) in dimensions. Designed for use indoors only, the PCI-6711 analog output device has a operating temperature range of 0 to 50 °C and an even wider storage temperature range of –20 to 70 °C.
