The NI PXI-6031E (Part Number: 777636-01, 184808E-01) is an E Series Multifunction Data Acquisition (DAQ) with 64 single-ended or 32 differential Analog Input channels, 16-bit resolution, and 100 kS/s maximum sample rate. The input voltage range of the PXI-6031E device is ±0.1 to ±10 V. This device has 14 input ranges, a FIFO buffer size of 1,024 samples, and an onboard memory capable of handling 512 samples. The NI PXI-6031E comes featured with two output channels with 16 bit output resolution, a FIFO buffer size of 2,048 samples, and 100 kS per second output rate.

The NI PXI-6031E is suitable for ongoing high-speed data logging, control applications, and high voltage signal or sensor measurements when utilized with National Instruments signal conditioning accessories. This device has an onboard temperature sensor to keep track of the operating temperature of the instrument to guarantee it is functioning in the stated range. The PXI-6031E also has the capability to set a trigger based on the level of an analog signal, as well as the capability to trigger off an edge of a digital signal.

The PXI-6031E DAQ offers eight Bidirectional Digital I/O Channels with software-controlled timing and TTL logic levels. This device is capable of handling sinking and sourcing inputs and outputs at 0 V - 5 V maximum digital input and output voltage range. The National Instruments PXI-6031E supports DC input coupling only at ±11 V maximum working voltage. It is equipped with 2 counter/timer I/O channels with a resolution of 24 bits, and base clocks of 20 MHz and 100 kHz with an accuracy of ±0.01%. Additionally, the device has 1 frequency generator with a 4 bit resolution, and base clocks of 10 MHz and 100 kHz.

This Multifunction DAQ has three DMA channels and can be operated in scatter-gather DMA mode. With these DMA channels, the user can choose from various data sources/destinations, such as analog input, analog output, counter/timer 1, etc. The PXI-6031E DAQ has a 0.05 D-type, 100-pin female connector and +4.65 to +5.25 VDC at 1 A power remains available through the I/O connector. The device measures 6.3 x 3.9 in. in physical dimensions.
