The NI PXI-8532 (Part Number: 781063-01) is a PXI DeviceNet Interface Module, with 1 port and a fast DeviceNet Interface to create applications with the NI-Industrial Communications for DeviceNet controllers. DeviceNet depends on the physical CAN layer and expands opposition and interconnectivity by determining different parameters, such as link length, connectors, and exchange rates required. The user can program the PXI-8532 to include elite master/scanner or slave capacities to DeviceNet systems.

The NI PXI-8532 module is compatible with PXI modular instrumentation and complies with the CompactPCI industrial PC standard. They include the Philips PCA82C251 rapid CAN transceiver, which is completely compatible with the ISO 11898 standard and supports all the DeviceNet baud rates (125 kbit/s, 250 kbit/s, and 500 kbit/s). These interfaces additionally protect the user’s equipment from being harmed by high-voltage spikes on the target bus. All bus ports are galvanically isolated up to 500 VDC (2 seconds maximum withstand) channel-to-channel and channel-to-bus.
