The NI PXIe-5672 can produce modulation formats like AM, FM, PM, QPSK, FSK, MSK, QAM, PSK, PAM, ASK, and GMSK- and it is availble in three onboard memory sizes. These memory size variations are 32 MB (part number 779900-01), 256 MB (part number 779900-02), and 512 MB (part number 779900-03). The PXIe-5672 Vector Signal Generator is a flexible and capable solution for scientific use and applications such as communication systems, aerospace, defense, and semiconductor test. The NI PXIe-5672 is also a great option for emerging areas i.e. radio frequency identification, software defined radio, and wireless sensor networks. This model has 5 slots, which enables the user to insert PXI Express modules in any of the slots.

The National Instruments PXIe-5672 PXI Vector SIgnal Generator can be used with the NI-RFSG instrument driver to program the device. It uses Measurement and Automation Explorer to configure the hardware and informs the user about which devices are connected to the module. MAX is installed automatically with NI-RFSG.
