Keysight N2101B PXIT Bit Error Ratio Tester
The Keysight N2101B Bit Error Ratio Tester (BERT) comprises a high accuracy clock source, a data pattern generator, and an error detector. This module is much smaller than a standard BERT, making it easier to transport. The N2101B BERT can be used with a synthesizer such as the Agilent N2099A, enabling the device to function at a rate up to 10.3125 Gb/s. This module can be effortlessly used with Synthesizers, DCA, Pattern Generators, or other BERT modules in a PXI Chassis. To optimize the performance of the Agilent N2101B, it can be utilized with other Agilent PXIT products, including the N2102B Pattern Generator and the N2100B PXIT Digital Communication Analyzer.
The connector compatibility for the Agilent N2101B is for PXI-1, PXI-H, and PCI. This module can be used with Microsoft Windows XP (32-bit) or Windows 7 (32-bit, 64-bit) operating systems and MATLAB, LabVIEW, IVI-COM, and IVI-C drivers. A few of the best features of the N2101B BERT include the capability to show bathtub curve in quick and regular modes, total error counts over definable time or quantity of bits, differential information creation and assessment, and external clock inputs for Tx and Rx.
If an external signal is input less than 8.5 Gb/s, the module will automatically set itself to external re-timed as a safety measure. The N2101B can function in external mode from 500 Mb/s to 10.3125 Gb/s. The External re-timed option is recommended for 500 Mb/s to 8.5 Gb/s, while the External Direct mode is recommended for 8.5 Gb/s to 10.3125 Gb/s.
