National Instruments 782444-01 Shielded I/O Connector Block

Part number 782444-01 is the identifying part number for the National Instruments SCB-19 Shielded I/O Connector Block. This module works with a wide range of NI devices like digitizers,  oscilloscopes, waveform generators, etc. and connects to their AUX I/O front panel. 

To setup and use the 782444-01, the user would need the following devices and accessories: NI FlexRIO adapter module or other NI device with compatible 19-pin AUX I/O front panel connector, SHH19–H19–AUX cable assembly, Phillips #1 screwdriver, 0.125 in. flathead screwdriver, Shielded, multiconductor cable with 14–30 AWG wire, wire cutters, and a wire insulation stripper. 

The 782444-01 features H19 connectors and screw terminals for connection. It measures (3.4 × 3.4 × 1.2 in.) in physical dimensions and weighs 355 g (12. oz). During the installation, the wires in the screw terminals must be tightened to a torque of 0.5 Nm. Likewise, to ensure proper EMC performance, you must shield any wires that are connected to the screw terminals and exit the enclosure. Most importantly, the user must ensure that voltages outside of the specified range is not used. Similarly, the cable shield must be terminated to one of the PCB mounting screws. An SHH19–H19–AUX cable is used to connect the 782444-01 to the AUX I/O front panel. Note that although the front panel supports a standard HDMI cable, it introduces significant crosstalk between channels. Lastly, when you finish using the connector block, make sure you turn off any external signals before turning off the computer. 

The recommended temperature range for the operation of the 782444-01 is 0 to  55 °C at a relative humidity of up to 10% to 90% RH. Likewise, the device is only meant to be used indoors within a maximum altitude of 2000m. On the other hand, it can be stored at –20 to 70 °C at relative humidity of up to 5% to 95% RH. The module meets the requirements of safety standards IEC 61010-1, EN 61010-1, UL 61010-1, CSA 61010-1 as an electrical equipment for measurement, control, and laboratory use.
