National Instruments MCA-7790M Motion Connection Accessory
The NI MCA-7790M (Part Number: 779612-01) belongs to a group of National Instruments Motion Connection Accessory Connectivity Blocks designed for the NI PCI-7390 Stepper Motion Controller. The MCA-7790 Series of Motion Connection Accessories provides direct connectivity between drives from various manufacturers and the PCI-7390. In this series, there are adapters available for Yaskawa, Panasonic, and Mitsubishi drives. The MCA-7790M accessory is available for Mitsubishi drives. You can easily connect any J2S series drive to the accessory by using two 20-pin cables and an SCSI 100-pin cable.
The National Instruments MCA-7790M Motion Connection Accessory has a provision to receive power and route it to the connected drive. Therefore, you can connect the +24 V line from the power supply to your motion connection accessory. Your NI MCA-7790M is smart enough to provide hassle-free and straightforward connectivity for 4-axis motion controllers. The MCA-7790M Motion Connection Accessory has three LEDs for each axis. The LEDs show reverse limit, forward limit, and home status. There are two more LEDs that show the status of the +24 V input power supply and the +5 V OUT signal from the PCI-7390.
Each version of the NI MCA-7790 offers optical isolation, eight digital inputs, and eight digital outputs. Each model also requires an external, 24 V power supply to operate. Thus, you won’t need an additional power supply or power cables to energize your drive separately.
MCA-7790M Obsolete Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the Motion Connection Accessory will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
