National Instruments SCC-LP05 Lowpass Filter Module

The SCC-LP05 (Part Number: 777459-30) is a 2-channel lowpass filter module specially designed for signal conditioning applications. Each channel has a fourth-order Butterworth filter; thus, the 11.025 kHz cutoff frequency is realized. The SCC-LP05 can be ideally used for attenuation of high-frequency components present in the input signals. It offers a smooth passband with sharp rolloff. SCCC-LP05 accepts ±10 V differential input signals, scaling the output in the range of ±5 V after attenuation and filtering. These devices perform excellently, either in single stage or in cascade operation with the dual-stage.

This module provides compatibility with both SCXI and legacy National Instruments systems, offering users great flexibility when working on measurement and automation applications. The SC-2345 carrier connectors make it connectable to provide integration with E Series DAQ devices using a 68-pin cable. This SCCLP05 also provides an assurance of signal clarity by ensuring that frequencies that could cause aliasing are well attenuated through the strong Butterworth design characteristic of this particular unit.

Physically, the SCC-LP05 is 8.89 cm x 2.92 cm x 1.85 cm in dimensions and weighs about 37 grams. The 20-pin connector and screw terminals make it easy to integrate the module into systems. Built for reliability, the SCC-LP05 supports operating temperatures from 0°C up to 50°C and has protective mechanisms against electrical and environmental hazards installed for compliance with the respective international safety and electromagnetic compatibility standards.

The SCC-LP05 is used in most industrial automation, data acquisition, and laboratory test applications requiring precise lowpass filtering to assure accurate signal processing.
