National Instruments BNC-2115 Connector Block
The National Instruments BNC-2115 (Part Number: 777807-01) is an E Series compatible, Shielded Connector Block. The NI BNC-2115 offers straightforward I/O signal connectivity. This Connector Block comes with BNC connectors to be utilized with the extended I/O channels of E Series devices, including the PCI-6033E, PCI/PXI-6025E, PCI/PXI-6031E, PCI/PXI-6071E, AT-MIO-16DE-10, and AT-MIO-64E-3. With this Connector Block, you can connect your digital input/output signals through a two-position screw terminal and 24 BNC connectors. The screw terminal is for connectivity between your DAQ device and digital signals. The center pin of the relevant BNC connector provides a DIO signal. This accessory comes with one 68-pin male I/O connector on the rear panel as well.
The NI BNC-2115 can also be operated in single-ended mode. In this mode, you can increase the analog channel count by configuring your DAQ device to operate in either non-referenced single-ended mode or referenced single-ended mode. In these modes, two single-ended channels are carried by each BNC coaxial cable instead of one differential channel. This Connector Block is designed for voltages up to 42 V. Using voltages greater than 42 volts can damage the NI BNC–2115, the host computer, and connected devices as well.
This Connector Block delivers connectivity between the extended digital inputs/outputs of Multifunction DAQ devices and the extended analog input (AI) of 64-channel featured DAQ devices. This accessory requires an SH1006868 cable. As far as its mounting options are concerned, the NI BNC–2115 is Desktop and DIN Rail mountable. However, mounting accessories are not offered by default and can be acquired separately. The connector block can be programmed using software packages or application development environments (ADEs) such as the NIDAQmx driver software, LabVIEW, or LabWindows/CVI.
The BNC–2115 measures 7.5 x 4.125 x 1.38 in. in physical dimensions. It has a recommended operating temperature range of 0 to 70 °C, a storage temperature range of –55 to 125 °C, a non-condensing relative humidity range of 5 to 90%. The connector block is designed to comply with the following electrical safety standards: IEC 61010-1, EN 61010-1, UL 3111-1, UL 61010B-1, and CAN/CSA C22.2 No. 1010.1.
