Often referred to as the NI-9203, the National Instruments 779516-01 Current Input Module is a high-performance device made for accurate control and monitoring applications in industrial automation systems. The 779516-01 facilitates precise and comprehensive data gathering at a maximum sampling rate of 200 kS/s due to its 16-bit successive approximation register (SAR) ADC. Simplified data acquisition procedures are guaranteed by the effective buffering, conditioning, and sampling of its input signals by a single ADC. Because every channel is protected from overvoltages, both the security of the linked equipment and the accuracy of the data collected are ensured.
With a channel-to-earth ground double-isolation barrier with 250 Vrms isolation, the 779516-01 is engineered with safety and noise immunity in mind, providing strong protection against signal transients. It also provides flexible isolation voltages that can be adjusted to various altitude situations. It can sustain tests up to 2,300 V RMS and maintain continuous isolation up to 250 V RMS.
The 779516-01 operates in a broad temperature range of -40 °C to 70 °C and exhibits reliable performance even in harsh environmental circumstances. Its stress and vibration parameters satisfy strict industrial standards, and its IP40 ingress protection guarantees resistance against dust and other impurities.
