The part number 782402-01 from National Instruments is the identifying part number for the NI-9239 Analog Input Module. This Input module is designed to be used with the CompactRIO, CompactDAQ, Single-Board RIO, and similar Data acquisition systems by National Instruments. The module has 4 analog inputs with a resolution of 24 bits to convert the signal from analog to digital for signal processing. This module features a Delta-Sigma Analog-to-Digital Converter (ADC), which provides high-resolution and accurate measurements. The module supports simultaneous sampling for accurate capturing of data for all four channels eliminating time delays between the channels.
The 782402-01 module has an Internal Master Timebase Frequency of 12.8 Mhz allowing it to quickly acquire and process data without causing any delay. This module can achieve a data processing rate of 1.613 kS/s to 50 kS/s providing it with high speed and high stability data acquisition and processing. The module has an input voltage range of ±10 Volts per channel with an input impedance of 1 MΩ for AI+ to AI-. The overvoltage protection of this module is ±100 Volts before affecting the internal circuitry of the module.
The Analog Input Module is rated to be operated in an environment with an ambient temperature between -40 °C to 70 °C and can stand harsh environmental conditions thanks to the IP 40 protection rating which provides protection against solid objects greater than 1 mm, such as wires or small tools. The module however does not protect liquid or moisture and is required to be installed in a clean area or mounted at an altitude of 2000 meters maximum above the sea level.
This module consumes power of approximately 740 mW maximum when powering it through screw terminals or 800 mW maximum when powered through the BNC terminal. During the Sleep Mode, this module consumes power of 25 µW maximum making it efficient. During the Active Mode, the 782402-01 Analog Input module has a Thermal dissipation rating of 760 mW when using terminal connectors or 820 mW maximum when connected via BNC. The module dissipates maximum power of 16 mW when in Sleep Mode.
