National Instruments 782580-01 C Series Multifunction I/O Module

Part Number 782580-01 is the identifying part number for the National Instruments NI-9381 C Series Multifunction I/O Module. This module from the NI C series consists of advanced features that make it suitable for high-speed, high-accuracy data acquisition and control applications. Users can program the module using various ADEs like LabVIEW. 

The 782580-01 features 8 single-ended analog input channels where the input range is  0 V to 5 V ±1%. A successive approximation register (SAR)-type ADC with a resolution of 12 bits is used for A/D conversion. The input bandwidth is 1 KHz and the conversion time is  50 µs, which equates to a conversion rate of 20 kS/s. On the other hand, there are 8 analog output channels and the output range is also 0 V to 5 V ±1%. A string-type DAC with a resolution of 12 bits is used for D/A conversion. The update time is the same as the conversion time while the slew rate and settling time are 30 V/ms and 900 µs respectively. Moreover, the module also comes with DSUB connectivity. 

For digital I/O, the 782580-01 has 4 channels where it is set to input as the default power-on line direction. The I/O type is single-ended LVTTL where a maximum input voltage of 5.2V can be supplied. The maximum update rate, or the I/O switching frequency is 1 MHz. In the active mode, the chassis consumes a maximum of 600 mW whereas a maximum of 1 mW is consumed during the sleep mode. 

The module weighs 5.1 oz and is recommended for indoor use only. The recommended operating temperature range for the module is -40 °C to 70 °C and the operating relative humidity is 10% RH to 90% RH. On the other hand, the module is meant to be stored at a temperature range of -40 °C to 85 °C at a relative humidity of 5% RH to 95% RH. Likewise, the module is also suitable for operation up to a maximum altitude of 2000m.
