The part number 785046-01 from National Instruments is the identifying part number for the NI-9266 C-Series Current Output Module. This C-series current output module is constructed to be used with CompactRIO, CompactDAQ, Single-Board RIO and R-series devices that can be integrated together. This makes it ideal for applications where precise current control is required since it has 8 analog output channels. Its digital-to-analog converter (DAC) has a 16-bit resolution such that from 0 to 20 mA with the DAC of string type with a compliance voltage of 12 V DC maximum and a maximum load of 600 Ω, which are built-in into this module ensure good and consistent performance.

The C-series current output module is designed to operate with temperature range between -40 degrees Celsius and 70 degrees Celsius while its storage temperature ranges from -40 degrees Celsius to 85 degrees Celsius with a humidity range of 10% to 90%, noncondensing, making it a strong and dependable device. The module has an ingress protection rating of IP40 giving protection against moisture, entry by tools and more, and has a pollution degree of 2.

The 785046-01 consists of different installation preferences accommodated by various configurations such as the screw terminal hence increasing flexibility in system integration. With the screw terminal wiring, its gauge is 0.05 mm^2 to 0.82 mm^2 with a wire strip length of 5 mm to 6 mm and can bear a temperature of 90 degrees Celsius minimum. In active mode, this module can consume up to 230 mW of power; in sleep mode, it can only use 25 μW. Therefore, it is effective for applications requiring power management.

It does not have channel to channel isolation voltages but features channel to earth ground isolation voltage with a continuous voltage of 60 V DC. It can withstand voltages of 1000 V RMS at an altitude of up to 3000 meters and 860 V RMS at an altitude of up to 5000 meters. The 785046-01 module can operate at 5 g RMS, 10 Hz to 500 Hz in a random manner or 5 g, 10 Hz to 500 Hz in a sinusoidal manner. It can also operate at 30 g, 11 ms half sine and 50 g, 3 ms half sine, with 18 shocks at 6 orientations.
