National Instruments NI-9207 C Series Voltage and Current Input Module
The NI-9207 (Part Numbers: 781068-01, 785040-01, 781068-02, and 199272C-01L) is a C Series Voltage and Current Input Module developed by National Instruments. All part numbers for the NI 9207 are enclosed modules. This module comes in multiple variations: part number 781068-01 with D-Sub front connectors and 60 VDC Bank Isolation, part number 785040-01 with Spring Terminal front connectors and 250 Vrms Bank Isolation, and lastly, part number 781068-02 with D-Sub front connectors and 60 VDC Bank Isolation. Part number 781068-02 is the only version of the NI 9207 that is conformal coated. The other NI 9207 specifications are the same for each part number.
The NI 9207 module has 16 analog input channels. Each channel can carry a minimum voltage of ±10.2 V. The minimum current in each channel is ±21.5 mA. The NI‑9207 can perform at 52ms high resolution with 2ms high speed. Each channel has a voltage input impedance >1 GΩ. The current input impedance in each channel is about 85 Ω. This Voltage and Current Input Module supports the CompactDAQ and CompactRIO hardware platform and is created to be used in industrial systems.
The NI-9207 module is structured with eight voltage and eight current input channels. The NI-9207 can operate at a maximum sample rate of 500 S/s. It has a built-in feature of 50/60 Hz rejection for noise rejection. The two common inputs help to reduce the overall number of modules required. The National Instruments NI-9207 Voltage and Current Input Module has a standard 37-pin DSUB terminal connection and a 36-pin spring terminal connection. These connections are used with cables and connector blocks. The NI-9207 has push in spring terminal wiring. It is a copper conductor wire with a gauge ranged from 26 AWG to 16 AWG.
The spring terminal model of the device weighs 5.7 oz while its DSUB counterpart weighs 5.1 oz. It has a recommended operating temperature range of -40 to 70 °C, a storage temperature range of -40 to 85 °C, an operating and storage humidity range of 10 to 90% RH and 5 to 95% RH, and a random and sinusoidal operating vibration of 5 grms and 5 g respectively–at a frequency range of 10 to 500 Hz.
