The NI-9209 is a C Series Voltage Input Module with two different part numbers. The first part number, 783729-01, has either a D-Sub or a spring terminal front connector, and 60 VDC Ch-Earth Ground Isolation. The second part number, 785042-01, has a Spring Terminal front connector and 250 Vrms Ch-Earth Ground Isolation. All other specifications are the same for the two part numbers. This module is supported for the CompactRIO and CompactDAQ platforms. The CompactRIO platform is small, with an open embedded design and high harshness. It is easy to use and configurable with NI LabVIEW. The CompactRIO platform enables the NI 9209 to perform customized timing and triggering. It also enables the NI-9209 for processing with the help of an extensive range of existing I/O. This allows users to fulfill any requirement for embedded applications.
The NI-9209 supports the CompactDAQ platform. CompactDAQ is used for harsh data acquisition, is portable, and can integrate connectivity. This platform can perform signal conditioning and data acquisition. The CompactDAQ platform enables the NI-9209 to operate in a customized way. Hence, users can easily manage, analyze, and visualize the measurement data. The NI-9209 is run using the NIDAQmx driver software which is compatible with software packages/application development environments (ADEs) such as LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, C/C++, C#, and Visual Basic .NET. The device can be configured using the Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) tool.
The NI-9209 has 16 analog input differential channels and 32 analog single ended input channels. It has a maximum sample rate of 500 S/s and an analog input resolution of 24 bits. The NI-9209 has a maximum input voltage range up to ±10 V for each channel. This Voltage Input Module is featured with a built-in noise rejection ability. It is able to reject noise up to 50/60 Hz. The NI-9209 has the capacity to reduce the modules according to requirements.
