National Instruments NI-9222 Voltage Input Module
The NI 9222 Voltage Input Module is a fast, synchronous module for use in any NI CompactDAQ or CompactRIO chassis (Part Numbers: 781397-01 and 783283-01). With a sampling rate up to 500 kS/s per channel and simultaneous analog to-digital converters (ADCs), this module is appropriate for many applications, including: ballistics, impact, and blast wave testing. This model serves for estimation, control, and communication applications. The modules of the C Series can be associated with any sensor or bus and permit high accuracy estimations that meet the requests of advanced data acquisition and control applications.
The NI 9222 Voltage Input Module offers conditioning of estimation signals that is associated with a network of sensors and signals, isolation options like bank to bank, channel to channel, and channel to ground, a -40 °C to 70 °C operating temperature range to meet an assortment of uses and environmental needs, and is hot swappable.
The National Instruments NI-9222 module is compatible with many platforms and can move modules from one platform to another without adjustments. This module is good with a low power sleep mode. The sleep support mode at the level of the framework relies upon the suspension that the module is associated with. When a framework is in sleep mode, it cannot communicate with the modules. In sleep mode, the framework expends insignificant power and can dissipate less heat than it does in normal mode.
The NI device is run using the NI-DAQmx driver software is compatible with software packages/application development environments (ADEs) such as LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, C/C++, C#, or Visual Basic .NET. The device hardware can be configured using the Measurement & Automation Explorer (MAX) tool.
The screw terminal fitted model of the module weighs 4.9 oz, while the BNC fitted model weighs 5.8 oz. It has a storage temperature range of -40 °C to 85 °C, an operating and storage humidity range of 10% RH to 90% RH and 5% RH to 95% RH respectively, and a random and sinusoidal operating vibration of 5 grms and 5 g respectively – all at a frequency range of 10 Hz to 500 Hz.
