National Instruments NI-9260 C Series Voltage Output Module
The National Instruments NI-9260 is a Voltage Output Module designed for testing the audio components as well as capabilities of consumer goods. Unlike other sound card based typical solutions, the National Instruments NI 9260 can be implemented swiftly and at a better pace. Moreover, to ensure enduring measurement repeatability users can have this device recalibrated, whereas soundcards lack this feature. This device is offered in two variations. One version of this device comes with BNC connectivity (Part Number: 783466-01), whereas the other version has Mini-XLR connectivity (Part Number: 783467-01). However, both versions come with similar specifications including range, resolution, number of channels, etc.
This 2-Channel Voltage Output Module offers 51.2 k Samples/second update rate, 3 Vrms output range, and 24-bit resolution. For safe deployment, the NI-9260 also offers short circuit protection and ±30 V overvoltage protection. With BNC connectors, the output stage of this Voltage Output Module is pseudo-differential; AO- is terminated through a 50 Ohm resistor to ground. The mini-XLR version features a balanced and fully differential output stage where the AO-pin corresponds to differential output driver`s one output.
The National Instruments NI 9260 Voltage Output Module comes equipped with a dedicated 24-bit, Delta-Sigma type Digital-to-Analog converter. Both versions of this module support DC output coupling. This model can operate at ±0.6%, ±0.05 dB gain error and ±0.7%, ±30 mV offset error in typical measurement conditions. In active mode, the NI 9260 consume 0.93 Watts of maximum power from the chassis.
