National Instruments NI-9469 C Series Synchronization Module
The NI-9469 Cabled C Series Synchronization Module manufactured by National Instruments has the capability to synchronize simultaneous delta-sigma A/D converter systems with high channel counts. This Synchronization Module for the C Series can be used for basic coding and signal routing, as well as delivering synchronization for digital input and output, and analog output modules. There are two variations of the NI-9469: part number 781955-02 is conformal coated, while part number 781955-01 is not.
The NI 9469 produces and routes the oversample clock needed for delta-sigma modules and can perform synchronization of all modules types across the NI CompactDAQ platforms. This Synchronization Module has 4 input and 8 output lines that can be programmed for normal trigger schemes. For the functionality of delta-sigma modules, a distinct oversample clock is required.
The NI 9469 Synchronization Module has the capacity to distribute clocks and triggers between chassis, as it features an interface with multiple ports. This interface can be programmed to allow the sharing of clocks and triggers from the host chassis. The NI-9469 module also features 4 green LED indicators on the front panel, three shielded RJ45 connectors with CAT 5e Ethernet cabling, 12 input/output lines, three ports, and differential signaling.
This module has up to 12.8 MHz or 13.1072 MHz clock generation (DSS) frequency, ±3.5 ppm accuracy, 100 m maximum cable length, and maximum propagation delay up to 4.98 ns/m. In active and sleep modes, the NI-9469 module consumes 1 W (max) and 25 µW respectively.
