The NI-9477 (Part Numbers:779517-01, 780174-01, 193211C-01L, 199017B-02L, 193211B-01) is an enclosed, 32 Digital Output Channel C Series Digital Module designed for use with the CompactDAQ and CompactRIO systems. This module has a 37-Pin D-SUB connector that helps the user mitigate cabling cost for a variety of equipment types from National Instruments and other vendors. The NI 9477 connects directly to a variety of industrial motors, relays, and solenoids, as it works with industrial logic levels and signals. Since it is a serial Digital Module, the NI-9477 is not configured to support counter operations in a CompactDAQ system. However, the module supports up to 60 V signals, can continuously sink up to 1 A of current per channel (up to 20 A per module) and up to 625 mA on all channels. This module additionally has an 8 us maximum update rate.
The NI-9477 C Series Digital Module is designed to meet the demands of control applications and advanced DAQ systems for high precision measurements. This module is optimized for LabVIEW Professional Development System for Windows, NI LabVIEW FPGA Module, and NI LabVIEW Real-Time Module software. Two part numbers of the NI 9477 C Series Digital Module have similar features and specifications, the difference being that part number 780174-01 is conformal coated, while part number 779517-01 is not. This module features 60 V DC, CAT I Ch-Earth ground isolation and 1,000 Vrms withstand Ch-Earth ground isolation. The digital I/O logic levels are 12V, 24V, 48V and this module has sinking outputs.
