National Instruments sbRIO-9265 C Series Current Output Module
The National Instruments sbRIO-9265 (Part Number: 780921-01) is a 4-Channel, non-enclosed Current Output Module from the C Series. This module comes equipped with integrate open-loop detection– a powerful feature to ensure the overall system’s safety. The NI sbRIO-9265 is an ideal solution for controlling and interfacing industrial actuators at high rates. This module has 4 current output channels and can generate current outputs within a range of 0 –20 mA. Each of the current output channels is backed by a dedicated digital-to-analog converter that generates a current signal. These DACs convert digital signals into current signals. The four analog output channels can be accessed through the 10-position, detachable screw-terminal front connector incorporated in this Current Output Module.
Each output channel (AO) of the National Instruments sbRIO-9265 C Series Current Output Module has a common terminal. This C Series Current Output Module requires an external power supply. For power supply connections, a power supply voltage terminal and a power supply common terminal are provided in the main screw terminal connector. The National Instruments sbRIO-9265 Current Output Module is capable of operating loads through the current output channels. Thus, you can connect a separate load to each analog output channel. On startup and shutdown, it is ensured that the current output channels are passing 0.0 mA of current. In typical operating conditions, the NI sbRIO-9265 can supply up to 21.0 mA maximum current and can drive 600 ohm maximum load. This module features built-in overvoltage and short-circuit protection. The setting for overvoltage protection is ±40 V.
