National Instruments 777318-124 Temperature Input Module for Compact FieldPoint

Part Number 777318-124 is the identifying part number for the National Instruments cFP-RTD-124 Temperature Input Module for Compact FieldPoint. The module supports measurement from two-wire, three-wire, and four-wire RTDs which means it is suitable for both low noise and high noise applications.

The 777318-124 mounts on a Compact FieldPoint backplane and its hot plug-and-play feature allows connection even when the backplane is powered on. The module has 8 input channels, all sharing a common ground and isolated from the other modules. Each channel contains a filter followed by an ADC for sampling. The ADC used is of Delta-sigma type and has a resolution of 16 bits. Likewise, the signal input bandwidth is 3 Hz while the channel update rate is once every second. Furthermore, the module requires 350 mW of power.

The temperature input signal range supported by the 777318-124 is –200 to 850 °C while the resistance input range is 0 to 400 Ω. The RTD types are determined by material composition, TCR, and nominal resistance at 0 °C.
