National Instruments cFP-AO-210 Analog Output Module for Compact Fieldpoint

The cFP-AO-210 (Part number: 777318-210) incorporates eight 0 to 10 V yield channels, created with a 12-bit DAC. Each channel gives a voltage source fit for providing up to 1 mA. This model allows the user to obtain more than 10 mA by controlling the module with a discretionary outside power supply of 30 and 15 VDC.  Also, the model has an all channel update rate of 200 Hz. The NI cFP-AO-210 gets a working force from the terminal base. The current circle control is remotely provided. Vout is the name of every channel that comes with an output terminal; a typical terminal, COM; and Vsup, which is a supply terminal. The considerable number of channels that belong to the COM terminals are associated inside to each other and to the C terminals.

The processing plant default control up setting for each channel is 0 V. The NI cFP-AO-210 has an overranging value of 0.2 V. Along these lines, the real full-scale scope of each channel is 0– 10.2 V. This expanded range empowers the cFP-AO-210 to adjust for length and balance errors in field gadgets. The cFP-AO-210 comes with channels that include an observing circuit that distinguishes the measure of current streaming into or out of the channel. If this esteem surpasses the most extreme suitable value (1 mA with no outside supply; 10 mA with outer supply), the circuit lights a red STATUS pointer for each influenced channel, reports the mistake to the system module, and alters the yield voltage so only the greatest permitted current streams. The mistake is accounted for before the yield is balanced. The device has a maximum conversion rate of 200 updates/s, and a slew rate of 0.5 V/µs.

The NI device weighs 4.1 oz, and measures 5.00 x 2.60 x 0.94 in. in physical dimensions. It has a recommended operating temperature range of –40 to 70 °C, a storage temperature range of .–55 to 100 °C, a random operating vibration of 5 grms (at a frequency of 10 to 500 Hz), and a sinusoidal operating vibration of 5 g at a frequency of 10 to 500 Hz.

National Instruments cFP-AO-210 Frequently Asked Questions

Question: Is there any way to build an external circuit to connect to the cFP-AO-210 to exceed the maximum current for the loads connected via an external power supply?

Answer: The cFP-AO-210 allows a maximum current for the loads connected via an external supply to be 10 mA. However, you can connect a relay to the output and then connect the load to the relay to exceed this limit.

Question: When using the NI cFP-AO-210 module and LabVIEW 2009, how do you read the voltage values?

Answer: When using the NI cFP-AO-210 and LabVIEW 2009, you can read the voltage directly with read vi.

Question: When using the NI cFP-AO-210, is there a way to switch the positive voltage to negative within LabVIEW?

Answer: When using the NI cFP-AO-210, you are not able to switch the positive voltage to negative within LabVIEW.
