National Instruments cFP-CB-3 Connector Block for Compact Fieldpoint
The cFP-CB-3 (Part number: 778618-03) Integrated Isothermal Connector Block is intended for use with the cFP-TC-120 module and CFP-BP-x compact FieldPoint backplanes. The cFP-CB-3 utilizes isothermal development to limit warm inclinations on the I/O terminals. This expands the precision of the thermistor that is utilized for cool intersection remuneration. The NI cFP-CB-3 makes it simple to make secure wiring setups for high stun and vibration applications.
The NI cFP-CB-3 Connector Block has a security separation boundary between the I/O channels and the module communication bus. There is no disconnection between channels except if generally noted. Thermocouple output signals are for the most part in the millivolt range and have a low voltage temperature affectability. This means that the user should carefully consider the type of mistake that can affect the exactness of their estimations. The most common errors in estimations with thermocouples are CJC, pick up and stage move mistakes, noise mistakes, and thermocouple mistakes. The device is equipped with up to 36 terminals which are wired using a 16-26 AWG copper conductor wire with 6 mm (0.24 in.) of insulation stripped from the end. It’s V and C terminals have a maximum current rating of 4 A while the other terminals have a 2 A rating.
NI field thermocouple modules can solve a wide assortment of temperature application needs. With thermocouples for field cutting, the user can slice the link to the coveted length from 8.9 cm to 61 cm (3.5 in. To 24 in.). Consequently, the user can utilize an arrangement of thermocouples for all their temperature estimations, which decreases the cost of stock and downtime underway. Accessible in forms with and without ground association, these sensors can make the grade regarding 482 °C (900 °F). For applications that utilization warm wells, the discretionary springs lessens establishment time and guarantees contact with the warm well. The device is equipped with 36 screw terminals.
The NI cFP-CB-3 weighs 7.1 oz, and can be used with a cable up to 8 mm in diameter. It has recommended operating and storage temperature ranges of -40 °C to 70 °C and –55 to 85 °C respectively.
