Often called the cDAQ-9189, the National Instruments 785065-01 is a sophisticated 8-slot CompactDAQ Ethernet chassis intended for distributed sensor measurement systems. Users can mix and match different modules to create a flexible combination of analog I/O, digital I/O, and counter/timer measures due to this chassis, which controls timing, synchronization, and data transfer between C Series I/O modules and an external host. The 785065-01 is perfect for widely dispersed measurements over long distances because it uses Time-Sensitive Networking (TSN) to provide accurate, synchronized time over a network. The inbuilt network switch also makes setup simpler by facilitating simple daisy-chaining.

Non-hardware-timed tasks are also supported with the number of channels again determined by the modules in use.
The digital waveform characteristics include a waveform acquisition (DI) FIFO of 511 samples per slot for parallel modules and 63 samples per slot for serial modules. The 785065-01 includes four 32-bit general-purpose counters/timers, which are ideal for applications involving quadrature encoders, PWM, pulse train generation, edge counting, pulse width measurement, and more. These counters/timers support edge counting, pulse, semi-period, period, two-edge separation, pulse width, and position measurements with resolutions up to X4 quadrature encoding with Channel Z reloading. Output applications include pulse, pulse train with dynamic updates, frequency division, and equivalent time sampling, with an output frequency range of 0 MHz to 20 MHz.
