The Ethernet interface has a maximum cabling distance of 100 meters per segment and is consistent with IEEE 802.3 standards. It also allows auto-negotiation for data rates up to 1,000 Mb/s.
A USB 2.0 Hi-Speed device port with a standard B connector and a USB 2.0 Hi-Speed host port with a standard A connector are also included on the 783169-01 in addition to the Ethernet port. Both ports can support data speeds of up to 480 Mb/s. You can connect additional storage options and peripheral devices with flexibility using these USB ports. Eight C Series I/O module slots on the CompactRIO Controller enable users to customize I/O configurations to match the needs of particular applications.
