National Instruments cRIO-9082 CompactRIO Controller

Featured with a Xilinx Spartan-6 LX150 FPGA, 2 GB of DDR3 system memory, and 32 GB of CFast SSD nonvolatile storage, the National Instruments cRIO-9082 (Part Numbers: 781787-02, 781787-12, 781787-03) is an 8-Slot, CompactRIO Controller. This model comes with a robust configuration and broad connectivity options, making it suitable for critical and complex industrial applications. The cRIO-9082 includes a fan and has an operating temperature range of 0 °C to 45 °C (which can be extended to 0 °C to 55 °C when using an NI panel mount kit). It is not rated for -40 °C to 70 °C operation.

This controller features an Intel Core i7-660UE processor with two cores, a base frequency of 1.33 GHz, and a maximum single-core Turbo Boost frequency of 2.4 GHz. It includes 4 MB of shared on-die L3 cache and 256 KB of L2 cache per core. For display output, the VGA port supports a maximum resolution of 1600 × 1200 at 60 Hz. The device is equipped with four USB 2.0 ports that support various USB peripherals, including keyboards, mice, and external storage devices.

The reconfigurable Xilinx Spartan-6 LX150 FPGA used in this module offers 4,824 kbit of block RAM, 3 DMA channels, 180 DSP slices, 184,304 flip-flops, 92,152 (6-input) LUTs. Additionally, the internal real-time clock has an accuracy of 200 ppm (35 ppm at 25 °C). The maximum power consumption is 75 watts, and the input voltage range is 9 V to 30 V. The cRIO-9082 also supports redundant power supply inputs for increased reliability.
