Part Number 776985-01 is the identifying part number for the National Instruments DAQCard-700 Multifunction I/O Device. It is a low-cost, low-power Analog Input, Digital I/O, and Timing I/O card for PCs with Type II PCMCIA slot. It is ideal for reliable and practical remote data acquisition applications in laboratory and industrial settings. 

The 776985-01 features 16 single-ended or 8 differential (software-selectable) analog input channels. Likewise, it features a successive approximation ADC with a resolution of 12 bits. The maximum sampling rate is 100 kS/s while the input signal ranges can be set to ±10 V, ±5 V, or ±2.5 with software. The FIFO buffer is 512 samples, and data transfers occur through interrupts or programmed I/O. Most importantly, each input should remain within ±9.5 V of AIGND (in DIFF mode). The overvoltage protection is ±30 V while powered on or powered off. 

On the other hand, the 776985-01 also has 8 digital input and 8 digital output channels that are TTL-compatible. The maximum voltage rating is ±5.5 V with respect to DGND. Furthermore, there are 3 counter/timer channels and 1 of them is dedicated to analog inputs. These are TTL-compatible and the gate and source are pulled high with 100 kΩ resistors. The resolution is 16 bits while the maximum input voltage rating is –0.5 to +5.0 V with respect to DGND. 

This device features a base clock with a frequency of 1 MHz and an accuracy of ±0.01%. The maximum source frequency can reach up to 10 MHz while the minimum source pulse and gate pulse duration are 50 ns. Data transfers occur through programmed I/O. 

The 776985-01 draws 100 mA of current in operational mode and 70 mA in power-down mode when supplied with +5 VDC (±5%). It has a 50-pin male I/O connector and a Type II PC card. The maximum working voltage between channel-to-earth and channel-to-channel is 30 VAC or 60 VDC (installation category I). The recommended operating temperature is 0 to 70 °C with a humidity of 5 to 90% RH.
