National Instruments 778543-01 Digital I/O module
The part number 778543-01 from National Instruments is the identifying part number for the PXI-6528 Digital I/O module. This digital I/O module features 24 optically isolated digital input channels each with its ground reference isolated from other channels and 24 solid-state relay (SSR) output channels. The input voltage range for each channel is from -60 Volts DC to +60 Volts DC allowing the I/O module to sense a higher range of input signals. Each channel is equipped with a digital filter with a filter interval of 400 ns to 200 ms to help eliminate glitches and noise from the input to prevent errors in the digital signal processing of the input signals.
The 24 solid-state relay (SSR) output channels act as a bi-directional switch with two terminals that are isolated from other channels. These output relays can switch voltages up to 60 Volts DC or 30 Vrms or 42 volts peak and handle a maximum current of 150 mA per channel. The output channels have a normally open configuration with a maximum resistance of 18 ohms. Each relay has a set and reset time of 5 ms providing a quick and accurate response.
This module also supports Real-Time System Integration allowing it to route additional timing and trigger signals between the module and other RTSI-compatible devices. The 778543-01 Digital I/O module can send a 200 ns pulse to any or all RTSI lines upon detecting a change on selected input lines and can be programmed to monitor rising edges, falling edges, or both on the input lines and generate an interrupt or trigger when a change is detected.
The 778543-01 draws power from the PXI chassis and has operating power conditions of 400 mA at 3.3 Volts DC or 250 mA at 5 Volts DC. The module operates within an ambient temperature range of 0 degrees Celsius to 55 degrees Celsius and supports relative humidity levels from 10% to 90%, non-condensing. It can withstand storage temperatures from -20 degrees Celsius to 70 degrees Celsius and storage humidity levels from 5% to 95%, non-condensing.
