National Instruments 779747-02 PXI Sound and Vibration Module
The National Instruments 779747-02 (or PXI-4498) is a high-performance AC-coupled PXI Sound and Vibration Module. It is also known as a Dynamic Signal Acquisition (DSA) analog input device and is designed for high-channel-count applications. It features 16 analog input channels that support simultaneous sampling to ensure synchronized data acquisition across all channels. Each input channel includes built-in antialiasing filters that adjust automatically to the sampling rate.
The 779747-02 module utilizes a 24-bit delta-sigma analog-to-digital converter (ADC) with AC coupling. The ADC resolution of 24 bits provides a high signal-to-noise ratio and it offers a maximum sample rate of 204.8 kS/s for high-resolution data acquisition. This NI 779747-02 supports a gain range of 0 dB to 20 dB, with software-selectable input gains that allow for flexible signal conditioning. The input impedance between the positive and negative inputs is 10 MΩ. The module also includes IEPE signal conditioning with selectable 0 or 4 mA current that caters to sensors like microphones and accelerometers that require constant current excitation.
This AC-coupled PXI Sound and Vibration module is equipped with both analog and digital trigger options. The analog trigger can be configured for start or reference triggers along with programmable levels and hysteresis. Digital triggers can be sourced from PFI0 or PXI_Trig<0..6> and are compatible with 5 V TTL logic. This flexibility in triggering options enhances the adaptability of NI module to various testing scenarios. The NI 779747-02 module operates within a PXI or PXI Express bus interface on +5 V, +3.3 V, +12 V, and -12 V power supplies. The module comes in a compact size and weighs only 326 grams. It is designed for reliable operation and can withstand shock and vibration conditions that are compliant with IEC and MIL-PRF-28800F standards. The 779747-02 (DSA) analog input device also meets stringent safety and electromagnetic compatibility standards (IEC 61010-1 and EN 61326-1). It operates within a temperature range of 0 °C to 55 °C and can be stored between -20 °C to 70 °C. The module is suitable for indoor use only along with a maximum operating altitude of 2,000 meters above sea level.
