National Instruments PCI-6023E Multifunction DAQ
The National Instruments PCI-6023E (Part Number: 777742-01, 185415B-01, 185415D-01, ) is a Multifunction I/O Device for PCI Bus Computers. This device comes featured with 16 analog input channels (8 x differential channels) with a maximum sampling rate of 200 kS per second, two analog output channels, 32 digital I/O lines, and a 100-pin connector. For time-related functions, the NI PCI-6023E uses a DAQ-STC timing controller.
This controller contains three timing groups to general-purpose, analog input and analog output counter/timing functions. These three groups come with seven 24-bit and three 16-bit counters with up to 50 ns maximum timing resolution. The DAQ-STC brings various functions, such as seamless sample rate changing, equivalent time sampling, and buffered pulse generation.
For an easy synchronization of several measurement functions to a common timing event or trigger, the NI PCI 6023E comes with an RTSI bus (Real-Time System Integration Bus). The RTSI bus incorporated is comprised of a ribbon cable and NI RTSI bus interface to route signals between various functions on as many as five data acquisition devices in a PC.
The device is run using the NI-DAQ driver software which is compatible with other NI software packages or application development environments (ADES) such as LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, Measurement Studio, VirtualBench. Using any of the aforementioned ADEs greatly speeds up your development time.
The PCI 6023E National Instruments can get coupled with an SCXI system as well. Thus, the user can acquire analog signals from strain gauges, RTFs, voltage sources, thermocouples, and current sources. Not only this, but the PCI-6023E also allows the user to acquire or generate digital signals for control and communications. This Multifunction I/O Device can operate in three input modes: NRSE, RSE, and DIFF. For multimode scanning, the user can program input modes on a per channel basis. The DIFF mode configured channels utilize two analog input lines, whereas channels configured in RSE or NRSE modes use one analog input line. The device weighs 4.1 oz., and measures 6.9 x 4.2 in. in physical dimensions.
PCI-6023E End of Life Status has been announced by National Instruments, but the device is still available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.
