National Instruments 777519-01 Terminal Base
Part Number 777519-01 is the identifying part number for the National Instruments FP-TB-1 Terminal Base. The 777519-01 is designed to work with all the FieldPoint I/O modules and provides external supply voltages. Likewise, it can be mounted to a DIN rail or a panel. To mount the terminal base into a DIN rail, you can use the simple rail clips that come with it. During this process, you must ensure that the power is not applied to the network module as this can damage both the network module and the terminal base. On the other hand, first, to mount the terminal base into a panel, drill holes in the appropriate locations. Then, place the terminal base in the proper position and place the protective cover over the local bus connector of the last terminal base in the bank.
While powering the 777519-01, make sure that the total current flowing through the V and C terminals must be limited to 10 A. Likewise, if the total current draw is less than 3 A, a single terminal can be used for the return path. Otherwise, you must use separate C terminals. The 777519-01 supports terminal wiring for 16 to 26 AWG copper conductor wire with 7 mm of insulation stripped from the end. It is recommended that you use only the copper wire unless you are working with sensing devices such as the thermocouple. The torque for the screw terminals should be from 4.4 to 5.3 lb-in.
The 777519-01 is recommended for operation between temperatures of –40 to 70 °C at a relative humidity of .10 to 90%. Likewise, the module can be stored at a wider range of –55 to 85 °C. Note that the module is intended for indoor use only and may require mounting inside a sealed enclosure for outdoor use. The maximum recommended altitude for the operation of the module is 2000 m. Furthermore, it is designed to meet the requirements of the following safety standards: EN 61010-1:1993/A2:1995, IEC 61010-1:1990/A2:1995, UL 3121:1998, and CAN/CSA c22.2 no. 1010.1:1992/A2:1997.
