National Instruments 778069-08 Analog Voltage Input Module

Part Number 778071-03 is the identifying part number for the National Instruments FP-AI-V10 Analog Voltage Input Module. The 778069-08 comes with two single-ended channels having a measurement resolution of 12 bits The input voltage range of the module is 0 to 10 V while the resolution is 2.44 mV. The accuracy at 25 °C is 0.05% while the temperature drift, which is the sum of offset and gain per °C is 250 µV + 75 ppm. The input impedance is 2.2 MΩ and the measurement bandwidth can be programmed and set to either 20 Hz or 2 kHz. Furthermore, the input protection on the voltage inputs is ±30 V.

The 778069-08 can be installed into a FieldPoint terminal base like the FP-TB-10. The terminal base supports a wide range of I/O devices and their configuration which allows the user to tailor them according to their needs. Users can install up to six dual-channel modules on a terminal base and use any combination of modules in any order. Likewise, the terminal base supports hot plug-and-play live insertion and swapping of modules. This allows the user to install or replace the dual-channel modules while the network module is powered and in operation. During replacement, a new module will keep the same settings as the previous module if it is of the same type. Otherwise, the terminal base requests new settings from the network module. 

The 778069-08 has a power requirement of 375 mW and weighs 2.1 oz. The module is recommended for operation between the temperature range of -20 to 70 °C. On the other hand, it can be stored at a wider range of -40 to 100 °C. While using the 778069-08 with the FP-TB-10 terminal base, the user must be aware of some safety measures. First, the FP-TB-10 and the dual-channel modules provide double insulation for working common mode voltages of 250 Vrms. If working voltages exceed this limit, do not use the terminal base and the input module as the sole isolating barrier. Also, you must avoid access to wiring with hazardous voltages.
