Designed to provide 12-bit resolution measurements, the NI FP-AI-C420 is a dual-channel Analog Input Module. This model is designed for FieldPoint and can easily be plugged into a FP-TB-10 Terminal Base. The combination of the FP-TB-10 terminal base and the FP-AI-C420 offers remarkable flexibility. With this arrangement, the user can deploy as many as six alike or different dual-channel modules. Thus, six FP-AI-C420 dual channel modules can be utilized in one system.
This module offers plug and play based operation and DIN rail mounting. As far as its operating temperature range is concerned, the user can deploy their FP-AI-C420 in harsh conditions (-40 to 70 °C). Screw terminals are provided on the FP-TB-10 for field wring connections to the FP-AI-C420. This module has an input range of 4 to 20 mA. This range makes the Analog Input Module an ideal choice for a broad range of industrial applications because most of the industrial sensors and transmitters generate 4 to 20 mA signals.
The National Instruments FP-AI-C420 is known for its accuracy performance since it offers an astonishing ±0.075% of accuracy, while operating at 25 degrees Celsius. This Analog Input Module requires 300 mW of power, which it draws from the network input module directly.
