National Instruments 784061-01 Digitizer Adapter Module for FlexRIO

Part Number 784061-01 is the identifying part number for the National Instruments NI-5751B Digitizer Adapter Module for FlexRIO. The NI-5751B is an updated version of the NI-5751 and comes with better performance and efficiency. With high-speed analog and digital I/O, it is used for real-time processing and analog data streaming. 

The 784061-01 features 16 analog input channels that are single-ended. A 50 Ω ± 2% input impedance VHDCI connection is used for the analog input. The inputs are DC coupled and support a maximum input voltage swing of 2 Vpp. Furthermore, it uses a 14-bit pipeline ADC identified with a part number of AD9252. 

The internal sample clock on the 784061-01 has a frequency range of 30 MHz to 50 MHz. Additionally, an SMB connection is used by the CLK IN. The clock input (CLK IN) operates at a 3.3 V CMOS logic level and is connected via an SMB connection. Likewise, the input impedance is greater than 50 kΩ and the input is DC-coupled. The duty cycle ranges from 45% to 55%. 

The 784061-01 has 8 digital input and 8 digital output terminals, all using a VHDCI connector. The digital inputs support a minimum high-level voltage (VIH) of 2.0 V and a maximum low-level voltage (VIL) of 0.8 V. On the other hand, the digital outputs have a maximum low-level output voltage (VOL) of 0.55 V, and the maximum high-level output voltage (VOH) is 2.4 V, with a maximum output current of 1 mA. All outputs have a maximum toggling frequency of 1 MHz.

The 784061-01 measures 12.9 × 2.0 × 12.1 cm (5.1 × 0.8 × 4.7 in.) in physical dimensions and weighs 284 g (10 oz). It has three 68-pin VHDCI connections and one SMB connector. The 784061-01 draws 200 mA of current at +12 V (2.4 W max) and 900 mA at +3.3 V (2.97 W max) from the NI FlexRIO FPGA module. The total power consumed by the module is 5.37 W. Moreover, the module is to be operated at  0 °C to 55 °C at a relative humidity of 10% to 90%.
