National Instruments FSMP-FSMP Bullet Adapter

The NI FSMP-FSMP Bullet Adapter is a high-performance, spring-loaded bullet adapter for NI FlexRIO systems. By design, it ensures optimal RF performance in applications with low VSWR across a wide frequency range of operation from DC to 65 GHz. The adapter features a high-quality material construction that enables maximum reliability even under the toughest environmental conditions and offers excellent durability.

The FSMP-FSMP Bullet Adapter is intended for use in applications requiring signal stability, possessing the ability to retain exceptional performance even after compression due to superior interfacing that allows for strong and consistent connections. In the design, there are no gaps between the bullet and receptacle to ensure smooth connectivity, and it allows for variation in tolerance on a PCB for additional design flexibility. This adapter meets the demands of today's generally accepted standards for environmental and safety regulations with its compliance to RoHS.

The adapter is designed for very exacting industries: RF testing, high-speed data communications, telecommunications, military and aerospace, and medical equipment. It maximizes stability in transmitting signals precisely and is thus indispensable in high-frequency systems that have to operate under harsh environmental and weather conditions. In addition, it comes in different lengths to fit different applications and design requirements.

The 50-ohm impedance of the Bullet Adapter FSMP-FSMP ensures that only a minimum of signal loss is achieved with good signal integrity. This adapter has less than 0.1 dB insertion loss with a return loss greater than 30 dB to enhance the performance of the system. It also has less than 5 milliohms contact resistance to ensure good electrical contact and an operating temperature from -40°C to +85°C, whereby excellent performance in severe environments is possible.

The FSMP-FSMP Bullet Adapter from National Instruments is designed for handling high-frequency and high-performance systems with the highest degree of reliability in applications that require great precision and durability, from RF test facilities to aerospace and medical equipment. This adapter proves brilliant in ensuring very good signal integrity and dependable operation in a wide gamut of mission-critical applications.
