National Instruments 782849-01 Image Acquisition Device
Part Number 782849-01 is the identifying part number for the National Instruments PCIe-1473R Image Acquisition Device. The 782849-01 supports Camera Link 1.2 standard in Base, Medium, Full, and Extended Full configurations. Likewise, it features two 26-pin MDR connectors to connect to cameras. Similarly, for communication purposes, it uses a 4-lane PCIe interface that is PCI Express 1.1 compliant. Furthermore, it can also be plugged into x8 or x16 PCIe slots.
The 782849-01 features a Virtex-5 LX50 reconfigurable FPGA which has 19200 flip flops, 6-input LUTs, and 48 DSP48 slices used for arithmetic functions. Likewise, it also features 1728 kbits of embedded block RAM. Furthermore, there is a single external I/O line that features an input/output voltage range of 0 to 5 V. Moreover, the maximum pulse rate in these lines is 2 MHz.
The 782849-01 has a pixel clock frequency range of 20 MHz to 85 MHz. However, the camera link specification requires cameras to be able to transmit at a minimum of 20 MHz. Likewise, it supports baud rates of 9.6, 19.2, 38.4, 57.6, 115.2, 230.4, 460.8, or 921.6 kbps. As for the power requirement, the device draws 1.5 A at +3.3 V and 1.25 A at +12 V. On the other hand, the device can deliver 12 V to cameras over a PoCL (Power Over Camera Link) with an average power output of 4 W (max) and also supports the SafePower feature.
The 782849-01 is recommended for operation between temperatures of 0 °C to 45 °C with a relative humidity of 10% to 90%. On the other hand, it can be stored between a wider temperature range of –20 °C to 70 °C at a relative humidity of 5% to 95%. Also, note that the device is intended for indoor use only and may require mounting inside a closed enclosure for outdoor use. Furthermore, the device should be used within a maximum altitude of 2000 m at 25 °C ambient temperature. The device meets the requirements of the following safety standards: IEC 61010-1, EN 61010-1, UL 61010-1, and CSA 61010-1.
