National Instruments PCI-1407 IMAQ Device
The National Instruments PCI-1407 (Part Number: 777852-01) is a high-accuracy, industrial grade, monochrome IMAQ Device for PCI chassis that supports CCIR and RS-170 video standards. This module comes with an ability to acquire frames in real time and to transfer the acquired frames directly to system memory. The NI PCI 1407 also supports progressive scan formats and comes featured with an 8-bit analog-to-digital converter (ADC) that processes video signals and converts them into the appropriate digital form.
This simple to configure device allows the user to begin image acquisition quickly with the help of NI-IMAQ, which is a comprehensive image acquisition driver. With the PCI 1407 driver, NI-IMAQ, users will be able to start an application quickly without having to program or configure the device at register`s level. The device can be programmed using application development environments such as LabVIEW, LabWindows/CVI, or Visual Basic. The IMAQ PCI-1407 is a budget device that offers high accuracy at a low cost- an ideal solution to be considered for both scientific and industrial environments. This model supports one video source and one external I/O as a stand-alone device. The video source and external device can be used as a digital I/O line or trigger. The NI device has a frequency response of 15 MHz (-3 dB) typical, with progressive scans of 25, 30, 50, 60 frames per second.
If the user needs more sophisticated triggering or more I/O lines, then they can utilize the NI PCI-1407 with the DAQ product line by National Instruments. This device can be installed in an empty PCI expansion slot in a PC. However, consider leaving adequate space between the PCI-1407 and other installed boards to achieve optimum noise performance. This device comes equipped with offset and gain circuitry to optimize the ADC input signal range. Moreover, for high-speed data transfer, it also features a PCI interface.
The PCI-1407 weighs 0.28 lb, and measures 4.2 x 6.9 in.in physical dimensions. It has recommended operating and storage temperature ranges of 0 to 55 °C and –20 to 70 °C respectively, a non-condensing relative humidity range of 10 to 90%.
