National Instruments 777314-01 Digital I/O Device

Part Number 777314-01 is the identifying part number for the National Instruments PCI-DIO-32HS Digital I/O Device. It serves as a high-speed digital I/O interface for PCI, PXI, PCMCIA, and ISA. The MITE interface used by the module provides bus-master operation, burst transfers, and high-performance DMA controllers. 

The 777314-01 features 32 digital I/O channels, where four of them are dedicated output and control channels and four of them are dedicated input and status channels. The ports can be grouped into two 8-bit or 16-bit groups or a single 32-bit group when used for pattern I/O or handshaking. Pattern I/O allows you to input or output patterns under the timing control of the clock whereas handshaking allows data transfer between the module and a peripheral device. On the other hand, when used for static or unstrobed I/O, each of the I/O lines can be configured as input or output. When configured as output, the data line can sink our source up to 24 mA of current. 

The digital logic level in the 777314-01 is 5V TTL/CMOS compatible. The input low voltage is 0V (minimum) to 0.8V (maximum) whereas the input high voltage is 2V (minimum) to 5V (maximum). The absolute maximum input voltage range for the module is -0.3 to 5V. The module draws a current of 1.3A at +5 VDC (±5%) with a light output load. Similarly, the power available at the I/O connectors is +4.65 to +5.25 VDC at 1 A.

This instrument is designed to work with NI-DAQ driver software. The software allows device configuration, writing custom programs, and easy digital I/O transfers. Likewise, it also has multiple example programs for ADEs like LabVIEW

The 777314-01 measures 6.9 by 4.2 inches in physical dimensions. The module features a 68-pin male SCSI-II type I/O connector. The operating temperature range for this module is 0 to 55 °C whereas the storage temperature can be between  –20 to 70 °C. The recommended relative humidity level for the module is 5 to 90% noncondensing.
