National Instruments 779122-01 Multifunction I/O Module
Often known as the PXI-6284, the National Instruments 779122-01 is a flexible PXI Multifunction I/O Module that provides strong data acquisition (DAQ) capabilities for a variety of applications. This module is perfect for research, design verification/testing, production test environments, and laboratory automation. Enhanced sensor and high-voltage measurement capabilities can be achieved by incorporating SCC or SCXI signal conditioning modules, hence expanding its capability. Simple setup and measurement procedures are facilitated by the bundled NI-DAQmx driver and configuration tool.
With 16 differential or 32 single-ended channels and 18-bit ADC resolution, the 779122-01 is a high-performance analog input. At 100 kHz, the device's remarkable crosstalk performance is guaranteed by differential nonlinearity (DNL), which achieves -75 dB for adjacent channels and -95 dB for non-adjacent channels. When the filter is off, its narrow signal bandwidth can reach up to 750 kHz, and when it is on, it can reach 40 kHz. Furthermore, up to eight analog input pins can be protected from overvoltage conditions with ±25 V when the device is active and ±15 V when it is off.
The 779122-01 includes a single analog trigger capable of multiple functions such as start trigger, reference trigger, pause trigger, sample clock, convert clock, and sample clock timebase. The trigger sources include AI <0..31> and APFI <0, 1>.
The module provides 48 channels of digital I/O, of which 32 are on P0.<0..31>, 16 on PFI <0..7>/P1 and 16 on PFI <8..15>/P2. Each of these channels can be separately programmed as an input or output, and they are compatible with 5 V TTL/CMOS. Additionally, the digital I/O has up to two pins with ±20 V input voltage protection, which guarantees dependability throughout a range of operating circumstances.
For general-purpose counting and timing, the 779122-01 is equipped with two 32-bit counter/timers. A variety of measurements, including as edge counting, pulse measurement, semi-period and period measurement, and two-edge separation, are supported by these counters. The module also supports two-pulse encoding and quadrature encoding of X1, X2, and X4 for location measurements with Channel Z reloading. The counters can be used for comparable time sampling, frequency division, and pulse and pulse train creation with dynamic updates.
