National Instruments 779296-01 Multifunction Data Acquisition (DAQ) Module.

The part number 779296-01 from National Instruments is the identifying part number for the PXI-6225 Multifunction Data Acquisition Module. This module features 80 single-ended analog input channels which can also be configured as 40 differential analog inputs. The analog inputs of the 779296-01 have a resolution of 16 bit allowing it to capture precise images of the signal for further signal processing. This module has a maximum sampling rate of 250 kS/s, for both single-channel or multi-channel use. The input signal voltage range of this module is ± 0.2 V, ± 1 V, ± 5 V, and ± 10 V, making it suitable for a wide range of signal types and levels.

The 779296-01 Multifunction Data Acquisition Module has 2 analog outputs which also have a 16-bit resolution as it features a 16-bit digital-to-analog converter to help convert the signal back into analog form after signal processing. This module can update its output at a maximum rate of 833 kS per second for a single channel and 740 kS per second when both channels are running simultaneously. The output voltage range of the 779296-01 module is between -10 to 10 volts. This module also features user-programmable 24 digital I/O channels which can be configured as inputs or outputs.

The 779296-01 features two 32-bit counters or timers that help provide clock signals for peripheral synchronization or other timing-related tasks. The counters can support functions such as rising or falling edge counting, measuring the pulse width of the signal, measuring the period of the signals, and also the frequency. For filtering the input signals the 779296-01 module features a programmable debouncing signal allowing this module to be used in noisy environments or applications that require long signal paths.

The 779296-01 is designed to be operated in an environment with a temperature rating of 0 degrees Celsius to 55 degrees Celsius without affecting its performance. This data acquisition module is compatible with most National Instruments software including the NI-DAQmx which allows for easy setup, configuration, and customization.
