National Instruments PXI-6254 Multifunction I/O Module
The PXI-6254 (Part number: 779118-01) is a Multifunction I/O Module with software that allows the user to control the speed at which the information is created. The software sends a different charge to the equipment to begin each DAC conversion. In NI-DAQmx, the software-timed generations are called timing on demand. Generations programmed by software are additionally called immediate or static tasks. They are typically used to write a single esteem, such as a constant direct current.
With a hardware-timed generation, a digital hardware signal controls the rate of the generation. This signal can be generated inside the NI PXI-6254 or provided externally. Continuous generation alludes to the generation of an unspecified number of samples. Rather than producing a set number of information tests and stopping, a continuous generation proceeds until the user stops the activity. There are a few distinct techniques for continuous generation that control what data is written. These techniques are regeneration, FIFO regeneration, and non-regeneration modes. With FIFO regeneration, the whole buffer is downloaded to the FIFO and recovered from that point. After the information is downloaded, new information cannot be composed to the FIFO. To utilize FIFO regeneration, the whole support must fit inside the FIFO measure. The advantage of utilizing FIFO regeneration is that it does not require communication with the main host memory after the activity has begun.
