MXI-3 Series
PCIe technology serves as the foundation for the National Instruments MX-3 Series. Also known as Gen-3 MXI-Express, the modules in this series are capable of controlling a CompactPCIe, PXIe, or PC Chassis. These diverse modules include Interface Boards such as the PCI-8330 or PXI-8330, Interface Kits like the PXI-PCI8330, and VXI Interface modules such as the VXI-8345. NI MXI Cables are either copper or fiber-optic, and they are available with varying cabling distances to fit the need of specific applications. The MXI-3 architecture is transparent to device drivers, meaning that no additional software is required for devices in linked chassis.
