The NI PXI-PCI 8360 (Part Number: 781764-03) allows the user to control PXI and CompactPCI systems from their PC with a PCI slot via a transparent MXI-Express link joined with copper cabling. This MXI-Express Kit contains a PCI-8361 board linked with an MXI-Express cable to the PXI-8360 module in slot 1 of a PXI Chassis. The PCI-8361 is a low-profile 1-Port MXI-Express Interface Board. However, low-profile and standard brackets come with this MXI-Express Kit. The PXI-8360 1-Port MXI-Express Interface Module has a bridge that changes the PCI Express link to the PCI bus that is utilized in PXI. Therefore, all PXI modules show up as PCI boards in the computer. This kit delivers 100 MB/s of sustained throughput maximum. The user can choose to buy this MXI-Express Kit with all the required parts or they can buy each part individually.
