National Instruments PXIe-PCIe8361 Remote PCI Express Control of PXI Express

The NI PXIe-PCIe8361 (Part Number: 779701-03) comes with many valuable features, such as a sustained throughput of 92 MB/s for one chassis, durable connectivity, cabling of 7 meters maximum, power and cooling for each slot, synchronization features offered by PXI, and much more. The PXIe-PCIe 8361 MXI-Express Kit contains a PCIe-8361 board in a PC that is linked through an MXI-Express cable to a PXIe-8360 module in slot 1 of a PXI Express chassis. The PCIe-8361 board offers a single PCI Express link, which can be cabled to a PXIe-8360 module in a PXI Express chassis. The user has the option to buy the MXI-Express Kit with all the parts needed or they can buy a PCI Express board, a PXI Express module, and a cable separately. The NI PXIe-PCIe8361 can be used with a 1 m MXI-Express Cable, which can be ordered under part number 779500-01, a 3 m MXI-Express cable with part number 779500-03, or a 7 m MXI-Express cable with part number 779500-07.

The PXIe-PCIe8361 enables PCI Express control of PXI Express/CompactPCI Express and has a software-transparent link which does not involve programming. This MXI-Express Kit has the capability to control a PCI Express system from a PCI Express slot. This means that the user can utilize desktop computers, servers, or workstations to regulate PXI Express systems. The link has x1 lane width. The PXIe-8360 links the PCI Express link to the PCI Express bus utilized in the PXI Express chassis backplane. This results in the PXI and PXI Express modules showing up as PCI boards in the computer. This MXI-Express Kit can be used with a 1 meter or 3 meter MXI cable as well.

The PXIe-PCIe8361 has recommended operating and storage temperature ranges of 0 to 55 °C and -20 to 70 °C respectively, operating and storage humidity ranges of 10 to 90% and 5 to 95% respectively, operating and non-operating random vibrations of 0.3 grms and 2.4 grms respectively–all at a random vibration of 5 to 500 Hz.
