National Instruments PCIe-8375 Device for PXI Remote Control
The PCIe-8375 (Part Number: 781041-01) is an MXI-Express x4 Device for PXI Remote Control. This device includes two fiber-optic ports, a superior port for associating with the host, and an inferior port for daisy-chain configurations. Just a single PCI Express space is needed in the host while using the daisy-chain design, particularly for gadgets additionally down the chain, the information throughput may be lower. There must be a PCI Express x4 space accessible for each PXI Express space the user needs to control, so the star topology needs the host PC. Each PXI Express frame is associated specifically to the NI PCIe-8375 introduced in the host PC. This topology has the most astounding throughput–at 838 MB per second. The device is fully compatible with the PCI Express specification 1.0a and 1.1.
The PCIe-8375 Device for PXI Remote Control provides a PCI Express clock that holds fast to the PCI Express Specification and uses a host PC. This model may not be good with frameworks with rebellious tickers, especially frameworks with timekeepers whose frequency tops more than 100 MHz. The connection between the PC and the skeleton is a PCI Express connection x4. This connection is a double simplex correspondence channel containing low-voltage, differentially determined flag sets. The connection can transmit at a rate of 10 Gbps toward every path; however, convention overhead and different wasteful aspects will decrease the achievable throughput.
This MXI-Express Controller is comprised of a PCI Express Switch and two fiber-optic MXI-Express x4 connectors comprised of two cables and a x4 card edge connector. The NI device is run using the PXI platform services software which contains the NI-DAQmx and NI-VISA drivers.
The NI device weighs 0.13 lb, and measures 3.5 x 2.72 in. It has a recommended operating temperature range of 0 to 55 °C, a storage temperature range of –20 to 70 °C, and a noncondensing operating and storage humidity range of 10 to 90% and 5 to 95% respectively.
PCIe-8375 Mature Status has been declared by National Instruments, but the device will still be available for purchase and repairs by Apex Waves.

National Instruments PCIe-8375 Frequently Asked Questions
Question: Why does my PCIe-8375 lose and then re-establish connection when I reboot the PC?
Answer: If your PCIe-8375 loses and reestablishes connections repeatedly, there may be a problem with the fiber optic cable timing.
Question: What should I do if I get a flickering or blinking LED light when installing the NI PCIe-8375?
Answer: If you’re getting a flickering or irregular blinking LED when installing the NI PCIe-8375, this is indicative of a problem with RefCLk, which specifies the frequency range of the clock.
Question: What type of cable is provided with the PCIe-8375?
Answer: The PCIe-8375 proves a x4 PCI Express link over a fiber-optic cable to the PXIe-8375 remote control module for PXI system control.
