Designed to support the RS485 serial protocol, the 197546-01 is a Serial Cable. This cable comes with nine connectors. Eight connectors provided in this cable are male, DB-9 connectors. The other end of the cable terminates into a 68-Pin, Male VHDCI connector.
The availability of multiple DB-9 connectors makes this cable capable of connecting to multiple types of serial devices. When combined with a PCI Express Serial Card, this cable allows you to turn a single PCIe slot into eight serial interfaces. Moreover, you can use this cable to achieve direct connectivity between serial interfaces on accessories and devices.
