Designed to comply with FCC Emission Limits Class A, the NB4 (Part Number: 180554-10) is a Shielded Ribbon Cable from National Instruments. This cable can also be acquired in a 0.5-meter length (Part Number: 180554-05). The NB4 is a 50-conductor cable. The cable can be purchased separately or as a component of the SCXI-1348 cable assembly, which is used to provide connectivity between a National Instruments data acquisition board and an SCXI module.
The NI NB4 is compatible with various data boards, such as the MC-DIO-32F, AT-DIO-32F, and NB-DIO-32F, etc. This cable connects the data acquisition board to an adapter board. The adapter board transforms the incoming signals from the data board, according to the pinout that can be handled by the rear signal connector of the SCXI module. The shield of the NB4 cable can easily be connected to the EMI shield that is provided on the I/O connector of the associated data board, such as the AT-DIO-32F.
