National Instruments PS-1 DC Power Supply

Rated to operate at 20 VDC output voltage and 0.8 A output current, the National Instruments PS-1 (Part Number: 777567-01) is a 16 watt DC Power Supply for Compact FieldPoint systems. This Power Supply is designed to power the bank of as many as eight I/O modules after due regulation and filtration. This regulated Power Supply is designed to operate at 120 VAC standard power input at 60 Hz. The regulators incorporated in the National Instruments PS-1 offer full fold back protection from direct shorts or output overload. However, power is restored only after the removal of the abnormal conditions.

This Power Supply comes in a high impact plastic case and is designed according to the specifications defined by the UL 94V0 standard. This National Instruments Power Supply is offered in a plug-in, wall mount configuration with cable, terminal, and modular jack outputs. The NI PS-1 offers extreme efficiency and reliability. The efficient design with integrated power factor correction helps reduce the input current. With this Power Supply installed in the panel or outside, the user does not need any additional fan for cooling because it is designed to operate in the temperature range from –40°C to +60°C.

The National Instruments PS-1 is an easy to use model because its installation and configuration do not involve any complexities. To keep the downstream circuit stable, this Power Supply is designed to accommodate high inrush current without affecting the output voltages. However, the overvoltage, overcurrent, and short circuit protection are in place to prevent the Power Supply`s operation beyond its designed specifications.
